Leadership Competency Matrix
Kerr Noll's Leadership Competency Matrix is a tool to formally manage competencies and to plan career progression.
It provides a comprehensive list of competencies that are common to great Leaders.
This tool allows:
(1) To record current competencies using a detailed list of skills.
(2) To identify competencies required for:
- Current position; but also
- Up to four 'future' positions, for those who have a career plan.
(3) To compare and identify gaps between current competencies and competencies required for:
- Current position; but also
- Up to four 'future' positions, for those who have a career plan.
(4) To develop a plan or plans to reduce/bridge the gaps between current competencies and future desired competencies.
The Kerr Noll Leadership Competency Matrix is an Excel file that includes macros.
